Five young men were arrested after a series of fights at Friendly High School in Fort Washington on Tuesday, and law enforcement officials say the fracases may be related to tensions caused by an off-campus killing of a 16-year-old student.

At about 7:20 a.m., Prince George’s County police responded to a call about a confrontation involving about 10 students. The group had dispersed by the time police arrived, but another fight broke out while the officers were still on the scene.
