‘America’s Most Wanted’ features Potomac River Rapist case — The FBI and its law enforcement partners are reaching out to the public ? and a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered by Washington?s Metropolitan Police Department ? for assistance in apprehending the offender known as the Potomac River Rapist.

“America’s Most Wanted” will feature a segment Friday night on the Potomac River Rapist, the unknown suspect wanted in a series of area rapes and the killing of an intern in Georgetown in the 1990s.

The feature is in connection with the FBI’s media blitz seeking tips from the public that could lead to an arrest. FBI sources said they’ve received some “very strong” tips around the case. Because authorities have DNA evidence, they are also able to rule out innocent people.
