Bank robbery suspect arrested on Metro

Update 3:38 p.m.: The man arrested at the Dupont Circle Metro station for a Friday morning bank robbery was also wanted for robbing another District bank on Wednesday afternoon, according to a spokeswoman from the FBI’s Washington Field Office.

District police had been looking for a man, wearing what authorities described as a gold-colored coat, who robbed the Suntrust Bank at 900 17th Street NW at about 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday. Police described the suspect in that robbery as an older man, at least in his 50s, wearing faded blue jeans and purple latex gloves.
