‘Blond Bandit’ gets lengthy prison sentence

A Manassas woman was sentenced Thursday to 11 years in prison for her involvement in a heroin ring and her role in a string of carjackings and bank robberies in the Virginia and Maryland suburbs last November.

Stephanie Schwab — nicknamed “the Blond Bandit” during a November 2011 spree in which she robbed two banks and stole three cars in the process — was sentenced to 132 months in prison. She’s already served close to a year of that sentence, but she’ll have to pay more than $24,000 in restitution fees.
