Two District men received long prison terms in D.C. Superior Court for their convictions in connection with a Northwest D.C. home invasion, officials said.
James Walker, 34, was sentenced Tuesday to 19 years and eight months in prison, and Anthony Richardson, 25, was sentenced to 11 years and seven months in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. They were convicted in May of kidnapping while armed and other charges.

On Nov. 20, 2011, Walker and Richardson attacked a man in the alley outside a boarding house in the 600 block of Florida Avenue NW. They then forced the man inside the house and beat him, removed his pants and tied his hands, according to trial evidence.
A resident heard the noise and called 911, and while she was on the call, Walker and Richardson started forcing their way into her apartment. They broke into the room, dragged the male victim into the apartment, threatened the female victim with a gun and bound her, prosecutors said.
Police knocked on the door, and Walker untied the female victim, ordered her into bed with him and ordered her to lie to the police, prosecutors said. Police stayed at the scene, so Walker sent the female victim to tell the police to go away. The female victim then escaped, and police entered the room and apprehended Walker and Richardson.
