A young man who confessed to killing an off-duty correctional officer during a botched robbery was sentenced to 35 years in prison Thursday.
Brandon Wall, 22, apologized to the family of veteran prison guard Lt. Perry Brooks, 48, before he was ordered behind bars by Baltimore City Circuit Judge John Howard.
