Man guilty of killing teen who foiled robbery A D.C. man was convicted of first-degree premeditated murder for fatally shooting a teenager who tried to prevent a robbery in Southwest Washington. Deangelo Foote, 21, faces a minimum of 30 years in prison at his sentencing, scheduled for April 29, in D.C. Superior Court.

Prosecutors said on July 8, 2009, Foote tried to rob a friend of Kevin Allen in the alley near N and Half streets SW. Allen, 17, ran to help his friend and after a brief struggle, the friend wrestled the magazine from Foote’s gun. The friend set the magazine on the ground then ran off. Foote retrieved the magazine and shot Allen seven times, prosecutors said.
