Robbers use sawed-off shotgun to rob 7-Eleven stores

Montgomery County police are looking for suspects who used a sawed-off shotgun to rob a pair of 7-Eleven stores.

The first armed robbery happened shortly before midnight Oct. 12 at the convenience store at 19235 Watkins Mill Road in Montgomery Village. The supect displayed a sawed-off shotgun, pulled out a white plastic shopping bagand demanded the store clerk to fill it with money from the cash register.

The suspect was described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, about 6-feet-1, 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored, quarter-length peacoat and blue jeans. He also wore a black scarf or cloth over his face, black sunglasses and black gloves.

  • On Oct. 27, at about 1:41 a.m., a suspect entered the 7-Eleven at 9051 Snouffer School Road in Gaithersburg, showed a sawed-off shotgun and pulled out the plastic shoppping bag and demanded money. That supsect was listed as a light-skinned  black male, 5-foot-8, wearing a black jacket and a mask. A second suspect, who remained outside, was described as dressed in all black witha black covering over his face and wearing dark sunglasses.
