Man wearing NASCAR hat strikes BofA

Police are searching for man that robbed an Anne Arundel County bank about a month ago. Apparently, he’s a Jeff Gordon fan.

Anne Arundel County police said the suspect robbed the Bank of America located at 5554 Muddy Creek Road in West River around 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 1.

The suspect entered the bank and approached the counter, passing a note to the teller demanding money and implying he was armed.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect. Police said the man fled the scene.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s, standing about 5-feet-8 inches and weighing about 150 pounds. Police said he was last seen wearing a black NASCAR hat with red and white stripes and with the No. 24 in yellow writing on the front and back, a gray sweatshirt and dark colored sunglasses. The 24 car driver in NASCAR is Gordon.
