A man, woman and child were found dead Tuesday morning in what Calvert County law enforcement officials say appears to be a murder-suicide.
The three were found after police received a call about 8:30 a.m. from an anonymous caller reporting a domestic disturbance at the two-story home in the 18000 block of Candlelight Court, Calvert County Sheriff’s officials said. The home sits in an affluent neighborhood in Owings.

Calvert County officials said they believe 32-year-old Frank Hayward shot his wife, Cynthia, 31, and child, Natalee, 2, and set a fire before turning the gun on himself.
A 12-year-old child who lived at the house was taken to a hospital with burns and cuts around his neck.
Sheriff’s officials did not have a motive for the shootings.
