A firefighter has been taken to a hospital after a two-alarm fire at a house in Alexandria, officials said.
About 11:35 a.m. Monday, firefighters went to a single-family home in the 800 block of Chalfonte Drive. There was a fire in the house’s basement that had spread some to the first floor, said Robert Rodriguez, chief fire marshal of the Alexandria Fire Department.
