A special task force investigating a string of robberies in Bethesda and along the D.C.-Montgomery County line has arrested a man they say is responsible for the attacks. Since April there have been 15 street robberies, a carjacking, and two aggravated assaults, including a shooting. The assailant either followed the victims home or robbed them while they were walking home. Detectives charged James W. Street, 29, of Bethesda, with 17 counts related to the street robberies.
