Two men, including a store employee, have been charged in a February armed robbery at a Germantown Walmart. The robbery happened at about 5:20 a.m. on Feb. 11, when a masked man demanded money from an employee preparing cash registers for opening and placed a gun to her head. The robber fled after obtaining cash.
Montgomery County police believed the culprit knew the store’s procedures.
An employee, 32-year-old Alonzo McBryde, was developed as a suspect and was arrested last week.
Police said another man, 30-year-old DeJean Summerville, worked with McBryde and was the masked man in the store.
McBryde is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Center on $200,000 bond. Summerville is also charged, but is now in jail on unrelated drug charges in Prince George’s County.
