D.C. police arrested two suspects following an assault and robbery at gunpoint in Northwest Saturday morning.

Officers arrived at Sonya’s Market, at 2833 11th Street Northwest, after receiving a call just after 8 a.m., said police spokesman Hugh Carew. The two suspects had assaulted an adult male and stolen his wallet, as well as an unknown amount of cash from the store before fleeing in a silver 2007 Ford Focus with a Delaware license plate reading 351142.
