Police investigating armed robbery near UMd campus

Prince George’s County police are investigating an armed robbery near the University of Maryland campus.

The incident occurred about 9:35 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Calvert Road and Princeton Avenue. Two male students

told Prince George’s County police that they were running along Calvert Road when a suspect approached them, displayed a handgun and demanded property, police said.

One student complied. The robber was then joined by another person, and they fled on foot, police said.
