D.C. police have charged a Northeast Washington man in the stabbing death of a 29-year-old woman.

Earl Johnson, 40, was arrested just hours after police found 29-year-old Antoinette Mitchell suffering from multiple stab wounds in Southeast. Police responded to reports of a stabbing in the 3200 block of 13th Street SE at about 4:10 a.m. Wednesday. Mitchell was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
