Slain Loudoun County high schooler identified

The Park View High School student who was fatally shot early Sunday morning has been identified as 16-year-old Caleb A. Gordley, authorities said.

Caleb was shot at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at a home in the 45900 block of Pullman Court. The homeowner told Loudoun County sheriff’s deputies that he went to investigate why an alarm went off in the house and discovered Caleb, whom he did not know, in a stairwell. The homeowner then shot Caleb, who died at the scene, sheriff’s office officials said.
