Police probe home invasions in Bethesda, Wheaton

A housekeeper answered the door at the home on the 9200 block of Bardon Road in Bethesda at about 6:45 a.m. A man with a handgun forced his way inside and tied up the housekeeper, another woman and a teenage boy, police said. Officer Rebecca Innocenti, a police spokeswoman, said the housekeeper was sexually assaulted, but would not give further details. The robber fled in the housekeeper’s gray Ford Expedition and used her credit card at a CVS near L’Enfant Plaza, police said. The car has the Maryland license plate 4AE7450. A woman was accosted in a similar armed robbery in her Wheaton garage on Tuesday, police said.
