Authorities arrested a Temple Hills man Thursday in connection with a 2005 fatal shooting in Northeast Washington, police said.
Jamel Callis, 26, is charged with murder one while armed in the death of 31-year-old James Presley Harris. He was arrested by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, D.C. police said.

On Sept. 2, 2005, D.C. police responded to the 4500 block of Quarles Street NE and found Harris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Fire Department and Emergency Medical personnel didn’t see evidence that Harris was alive, and he was later pronounced dead by a member of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, police said.
