One Prince George’s County police officer was found guilty of second-degree assault for the March 2010 beating of a University of Maryland student, while another officer was acquitted of all charges late Friday evening.

Officer James Harrison Jr. was found guilty for the beating of student John McKenna, an act that was caught on tape during a rowdy celebration following a University of Maryland basketball game, the Washington Post reported. A jury found Harrison not guilty of misconduct while in office.
