A Prince William County mother was sentenced Thursday to a year and a half behind bars for using drywall to barricade her three young children inside a room containing feces and urine.

Christina Moore, of Bristow, pleaded guilty in October to child abuse and neglect.

Moore and John Robey, 34, were charged in March 2011, after the oldest girl, then 4, was able to escape and run to a neighbor’s home for help.

A neighbor found Moore and Robey passed out with drug paraphernalia around their room, police said. Lawyers said the couple was struggling with a drug addiction.

Robey was sentenced to three years of probation.

In 2005, Moore lost custody of twin 22-month-old sons after the boys were found on the side of Route 234 in Dumfries.
