Shot fired at MontCo gas station

A dispute at a Montgomery County gas station resulted in a 26-year-old man firing a gun at a 38-year-old man Saturday evening, according to Montgomery County Police Capt. Paul Starks.

At 5:53 p.m. Saturday, police responded to reports of a fight at a Freestate gas station at 20650 Frederick Rd., Starks said. The argument may have been sparked by the 38-year-old man cutting in front of the 26-year-old in line at the gas pump, though it’s not clear whether he did so intentionally. After both men had gotten gas, they began a physical fight. The 26-year-old fired one shot before fleeing.

No one was injured, and the suspect turned himself in an hour later at the Germantown Police Department, Starks said.
