Twenty-six-year-old Jamar Allen Long is wanted on federal gun and drug charges in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt. DEA agents have accused him of distributing 25 grams (or nearly an ounce) or more of PCP while armed.
U.S. marshals have been looking for Long since April and could use a hand from readers of The Washington Examiner in developing new leads, said Supervisory Inspector Matt Burke. “Drugs and guns don’t mix, especially a drug as hideous as PCP,” Burke said. “We need to pick up Long before he sells PCP to someone who commits a horrible crime while under the influence of his drugs.”
Long is also wanted by the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office for failing to appear in court to answer charges that he possessed narcotics equipment. He has prior arrests for armed robbery and drug charges.
He is described as being 6-feet-1 and 165 pounds. Authorities said Long has ties throughout Maryland and D.C. He has lived in Temple Hills and is known to frequent Lanham and Burtonsville.
Anyone with information about Long, should contact the Capital Region Area Task Force at 301-489-1717.
Readers of The Washington Examiner have provided information to federal authorities that have led to the arrest of 32 fugitives, including three captures last month: a man wanted in the theft of a disabled man, a D.C. teenager accused of killing of another teenager, and a Jamaican man wanted for possession of 20 pounds of marijuana.
