D.C. police made an arrest Thursday in connection with a fatal stabbing, police said.
Johnathan Frederick Dawkins, 30, is charged with second-degree murder while armed in the death of 33-year-old Dwayne Edward Brisbon, D.C. police said.

On May 1, police responded to the 500 block of Florida Avenue NW for the report of a vehicle accident and found Brisbon in a vehicle suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
Lt. Robert Alder told media outlets that Brisbon saw Dawkins arguing with another person, he got out of his car and was stabbed in the neck. Brisbon, of Upper Marlboro, tried to drive away, but crashed nearby.
