Southwest Airlines on Monday unveiled an aircraft designed to honor the United States’s 250th anniversary. 

The airline’s announcement is part of a nationwide effort to mark the country’s semiquincentennial throughout 2026. Many of the initiatives are being led by America250, a congressionally created organization with which Southwest Airlines announced a partnership this week, and Freedom 250, spearheaded by President Donald Trump.
