Babydog, whose fame has captured the hearts of many supporters and colleagues on Capitol Hill — even starring in political ads for Justice — is seen in a video on her official X account.
Justice said she had surgery last week, but is “happy that she’s back to work and everything and doing real good.”
Justice said vets have been keeping an eye on the cyst for a while, and as a precaution, decided to remove it.
A spokesperson for Justice told the Washington Examiner they are still awaiting final results from Babydog’s surgery, but that Justice is so appreciative of the care she received from the team at Fairlea Animal Hospital in Lewisburg, West Virginia.
“We’re very hopeful the results will come back free and clear,” the spokesperson said.

Regardless, Justice’s team said Babydog is “doing great, recovering well, and is happy to be back in D.C. with her dad. Lots of people on the Hill were excited to see her back in the halls yesterday.”
