House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) lambasted House Democrats over an X post from Ways and Means Committee Democrats “mocking” economic troubles.

A post from the Democratic Ways and Means Committee account boasted about record online Black Friday spending, suggesting it debunked Republican concerns over the rising cost of living. Johnson took offense to the post, which was deleted, calling it “disgraceful.”
