Former Federal Emergency Management Agency supervisor Marn’i Washington came under fire last week for advising her team to “avoid” Florida houses “advertising Trump.” This call allegedly came after several hostile encounters with property owners.

On Sunday, Washington told the Washington Examiner she was only trying “to keep the team safe.” Two additional FEMA sources corroborated her claim that FEMA employees had been facing numerous threats during disaster recovery, resulting in help having to be pared back to varying extents.
