A Senate vote to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act failed 49-51 on Wednesday following the leak of the Supreme Court draft decision that would overturn Roe v. Wade. The bill was written to codify women’s right to abortion nationwide, but it was shot down by Republicans and one Democrat.
