The Biden administration is urging Senate Democrats to vote against a series of privileged resolutions of disapproval, expected to be brought to the floor on Wednesday afternoon by progressive members to protest $20 billion in U.S. arms sales to Israel.

The White House and administration officials are lobbying senators to vote against the resolutions. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has also privately pressed senators to ensure Israel continues to receive military equipment, according to an aide familiar with the situation.
