President Joe Biden is on track to break the record set by President-elect Donald Trump in his first term to confirm the most judicial nominees despite an eleventh-hour plea from the incoming president urging Senate Republicans not to help fast-track the process.
Senate Democrats have confirmed 233 judicial nominees during Biden’s presidency and are working to wrap up their work with a vote to confirm two more by the end of the week. During his first term in office, Trump confirmed 234 nominees.
