A progressive grassroots group is calling on Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to leave his leadership perch after he helped pass a GOP-crafted government funding bill.
Indivisible, a group formed during President Donald Trump‘s first administration, called the passage of the bill a “travesty,” directing specific ire at Schumer, who the group said squandered a “point of leverage” and “wave[d] the white flag of surrender” by voting to pass the bill to avoid a shutdown.
