Social Security nominee tells senators ‘I’ve never thought about privatizing’

President Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the Social Security Administration vowed that he would not seek to privatize the program during his confirmation hearing before a key Senate panel on Tuesday. 

Frank Bisignano, chief executive of financial technology company Fiserv, said he’d “never thought about privatizing” in an exchange with Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI).
