Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) fell on Thursday while being questioned by activists in the basement of the Russell Senate Office Building.

McConnell, 83, was approached by activists from the Sunrise Movement but declined a handshake as he was using one arm to stabilize himself with the help of an aide. He let go to try to walk on his own, but his gait was noticeably labored and off-balance. Seconds later, he stumbled and fell, breaking his fall with his hand.
