Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said he plans to remain atop the Senate Democratic caucus after the midterm elections, even as several candidates on the Democratic ticket say they would not support a sixth bid from Schumer to lead the party.

Schumer has long been expected to seek another term at the helm of the chamber’s Democratic caucus, but on Wednesday, the minority leader solidified his intention to lead the party again.
