Hours after Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake announced his retirement due to his distaste for Washington and President Trump, a national pollster sent out a short note that told another story: He probably would have lost reelection anyway.
Morning Consult emailed reporters that Flake has the support of just 30 percent of Arizona voters, and 37 percent of Arizona Republicans.
