Impeachment advocate, 2020 Dem Tom Steyer called ‘clear, present danger’

Billionaire liberal Tom Steyer, a potential 2020 Democratic presidential candidate pushing for the impeachment of President Trump, is being called out as a “clear and present danger” for pushing policies that cost jobs.

In a new online ad that mimics Steyer’s “Need to Impeach” video, the pro-energy group Power The Future charges that the environmentalist’s embrace of climate change is killing energy jobs.

“This radical vision is a clear and present danger to hard working American families and communities,” said Daniel Turner, who runs a non-profit group that goes after left-wing environmental groups.

Turner’s group has been drawing attention to the economic impact of Steyer’s clean energy demands and recently released a website called “Steyerville” that plays off the depression-era “Hooverville” shanty towns filled with the unemployed.

Steyer has reacted by blocking Turner on Twitter.

Steyer has been prominently mentioned as a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate who can self-fund his effort. The hedge fund manager has built an organization and is shifting his focus from climate change to other issues including gun control and health care. He is also heading up the call to impeach Trump with his Need to Impeach effort.

Turner’s is the first group to take Steyer on and he told Secrets that one of the goals is to remind people of the advocate’s positions against coal and other fossil fuels as he broadens his campaign.

He said that the group plans to dog Steyer’s current bus tour by “geo-targeting” areas the tour visits with the video on social media.
