For the first time since the Democratic National Convention in early September, the Washington Post tracking poll has Republican Mitt Romney beating President Obama.
While Romney leads by just one point, the tracking poll reveals a gradual but sustained rise in Romney’s ratings since the debates began. Before that, he was on a downward trajectory and it appeared that Obama would win going away.
