47% say media blocking Trump’s agenda, helped Obama

A new Rasmussen Reports survey on the day Trump was railing against the media found that 47 percent believe the media is blocking his administration from scoring successes.

And the public also agreed with one of his other views of the news media: they loved President Obama and did their best to promote his agenda.

Said the polling outfit:

The latest Rasmussen Reports national online and telephone survey finds that 47 percent of Likely U.S. Voters feel when reporters write or talk about President Trump, they are trying to block the president from passing his agenda. Forty-one percent think members of the media are simply interested in reporting the news in an unbiased manner, while 5 percent feel they are trying to help Trump pass his agenda.”

It added on Obama:

By comparison, 48 percent of voters said in June 2010 that they thought most reporters when they write or talk about President Obama were trying to help him pass his agenda. Eighteen percent thought most reporters were trying to block Obama from passing his agenda. Twenty-seven percent said the press was simply interested in reporting the news in an unbiased manner.

As with everything related to Trump and the media, the poll showed deep partisan divides.

For example, 70 percent of Republicans said reporters want to block Trump, but 64 percent of Democrats think reporters are unbiased.
