Gen Z: 1 in 6 identify as LGBT — As vice president in 2012, Joe Biden endeared himself to many LGBTQ Americans by endorsing same-sex marriage even before his boss, President Barack Obama. Now, as president, Biden is making sweeping promises to LGBTQ activists.

America’s youngest generation of adults, Generation Z, is continuing a trend toward identifying as LGBT.

In the latest Gallup survey, 1 in 6 of those aged 18-23 “consider themselves to be something other than heterosexual,” or LGBT.
