President Biden and his team at the Department of Homeland Security were warned that the 2020 candidate’s border promises would result in the current migrant surge, but he chose instead to bring “chaos” to the U.S.-Mexico line, according to former President Donald Trump’s immigration policy architect.

“Biden’s transition team was warned by career DHS officials that terminating our proven border security measures would lead to catastrophic consequences … they ignored those warnings and voluntarily unleashed chaos,” said Stephen Miller in a series of tweets today as new Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas faced questions on Capitol Hill.
