Job No. 1 done, a ‘Trump original’ hangs out her shingle

A “Trump original” who has been on President Donald Trump‘s communications team since his first term is stepping out to form her own communications strategy firm in a capital city where ties to the White House are growing increasingly valuable.

Julia Hahn, the Treasury Department’s assistant secretary for public affairs, built the department’s PR team to help Secretary Scott Bessent and the administration push through Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” in time for the president to sign it on Independence Day.
