Jeep: Will add, not shift, production to China

America’s iconic Jeep brand, clarifying its plans for production in China, said that it is considering resuming the building of Jeeps in China for Asian sales and not eyeing a total production shift to America’s No. 1 economic competitor.

Production has been on hold in China since 2009 when ownership of the company switched to Fiat.
