White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre opted not to answer whether President-elect Donald Trump‘s meeting with President Joe Biden consisted of the two making plans to play golf.
Fox News’s Pete Doocy posed the question during Wednesday’s press briefing, stating that the last time Trump and Biden met was during the first presidential debate of the 2024 election cycle, drawing laughter from the other reporters in attendance. One of the most iconic moments in the first 2024 presidential debate occurred when Biden and Trump defended their mental fitness to serve in office, during which the former president cited his golf performance.
