White House press secretary nominee Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Chinese President Xi Jinping is invited to the inauguration but has yet to RSVP.
President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn in for his second term next month. Should Xi decide to attend, it would be the first time a foreign leader from any country has attended the ceremony in nearly 150 years.
