NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland — Vice President JD Vance sought to cement his role as President Donald Trump’s No. 2 during his remarks kicking off the 2025 Conservative Political Action Conference Thursday morning.
Returning from his first international trip as vice president, Vance touted several of the Trump administration’s actions in the month since assuming the White House, addressed Republicans’ plans for reconciliation, and championed Trump as a leader during his onstage interview with CPAC host Mercedes Schlapp.
