A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration’s effort to remove the U.S. African Development Foundation’s leader until at least Tuesday after the agency sued the federal government.
The leader of the USAFD sued over the Department of Government Efficiency’s attempt to assert control over the agency. On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Richard Leon said Ward Brehm “may not be removed from his office as President of USADF, or in any way be treated as having been removed, denied, or obstructed in accessing any of the benefits or resources of his office, or otherwise be obstructed from his ability to carry out his duties, absent a decision” by the USADF board to remove him.
