‘Too many cooks’: Is flooding the zone hurting Trump’s Iran message?

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was the latest Trump administration official to try and clean up the White House’s messaging over President Donald Trump‘s decision to strike Iran over the weekend.

But Leavitt, one of Trump’s most trusted messenger’s, was unsuccessful in clearing up the multiple statements given by the president and his allies. Trump’s “flood the zone” strategy has aided him several times during his political career, but, this time around, some Republican insiders suggest that having “too many cooks in the kitchen” is hampering Trump’s ability to effectively sell his message to voters.
