President Donald Trump accused the Iranian government of indiscriminately killing protesters during a bilateral press conference with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Tuesday.
“I believe that by doing what we did, by terminating Iran… very evil people leading that country, you saw the number of protesters that they killed, 52,000-plus,” Trump said while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office. “I put a couple of them up today. Young kids, they kill them. They kill them… like they’re candy.”
