The guest list for Xi Jinping‘s state dinner is dominated by giants of tech and business, as artificial intelligence is among the most pressing concerns for President Donald Trump and the Chinese president during his visit to Washington.
The dinner comes midway through the three-day visit, which started with Trump meeting Xi at Joint Base Andrews, a rare demonstration of respect, on Wednesday before an arrival ceremony at the White House on Thursday, followed by a Rose Garden military review and their bilateral meeting in the Oval Office as the first lady and Xi’s wife, Peng Liyuan, participated in a separate event.

TRUMP AND XI ARE ARMED WITH A DIFFERENT SET OF PRIORITIES
On Friday, Xi and Peng will return to the White House from the Waldorf Astoria, not the traditional Blair House, for a private tea before departing the presidential complex for a tour of the National Archives to see “some of the United States’ most important founding documents as we celebrate our 250th anniversary,” according to a senior administration official.
The guest list includes many of Trump’s family members and Cabinet secretaries and major tech executives such as OpenAI’s Sam Altman and SpaceX’s Elon Musk. Also on the list are Supreme Court Justices John Roberts, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh.
Fox New personalities Laura Ingraham, Bret Baier, and Jesse Watters are also in attendance.
